This year's National MyRedThumb Day was held on Thursday 12th May 2016. Once again our goal was to reduce road traffic casualties by encouraging as many people as possible to stop using their mobile phone whilst driving. The MyRedThumb Team would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who got behind the campaign this year. We received an unprecedented amount of support from all around the country. Thanks to you we managed to send the message that mobile phones and driving are not a good combination to literally millions of people. We would like to thank BBC Breakfast Television for their coverage of the campaign on the day.
Many thanks to the hundreds of businesses, organisations and individuals who signed up to our massive social media flash mob. Nearly half a million accounts received this MyRedThumb message..
Thumb Selfie anyone?
If you missed this year's MyRedThumb Day do not despair. MyRed Thumb is a campaign that runs all year round. We still want as many people as possible to paint their thumb red (or any other colour for that matter) to help spread the message 'using a mobile phone when driving is bad news for everyone at any time'. If you need some 'Thumb-selfie' inspiration please check out our gallery.
Please share pictures of your decorated thumb selfies on social media #MyRedThumb.
